CL Browning Ranch

Three agricultural fields still remain on the Browning Ranch where hay, corn, and possibly cotton were grown. These areas were selected because of their minimal slopes and deep soil. During the 1940’s, the two fields on the west side of Honeycut Hollow Creek were terraced to reduce soil erosion and distribute water over the field to improve crop production.
